Problem Solved by Super Woman!!!!

So I needed some help on my blog.  I still don't know how to link and put my photo on my blog and numerous other things.  I called her and she drove up to my house in about 30 minutes and saved the day!!!!
This is my dear friend Julie Wadlinger.  She has a great blog and is really crafty and smart with the computer. You can find it here.

Thanks so much Julie for all you do for me and for coming to my rescue at the spur of the moment!

November is so great!!!

Happy November to all of you and remember to be grateful.

Up Rooting the whole Darn' Tree

Well next week is my card club day and I decided to get a bit of a jump on things because I have time and well it is a new day and I just don't want it to creep up on me.

So you know how they say that you should turn over a new leaf?  Well I guess I am uprooting the whole darn' Tree.  I am getting ready for lots of new things in my life and right now is a great time to start doing things a better way.  Why wait for a new year? Start today I say!!!

Here is one of the cute cards that we will be making for club, or something similar.

Sorry about the crumby picture.  I might need (NEED) to get a new camera.  The phone is just not really quite cutting it.  But for now this is all I got.
First picture is of the card when closed and the second is of the card open.  This is a fun new die and will make making a flip card so easy.

Have fun creating today!

Quilt As You Go In A Day Or Less

I love to make quilts and I love to do hand quilting applique and lots of fun embroidery on the things that I sew.  But one thing that I don't like is that I can make quilt tops much quicker than I can either quilt or send them out to the quilter.  So I decided that I would do a quilt as you go project.

This quilt is done by creating the rectangle in the middle with charm squares and then sandwich with the batting and the backing and quilt.  Then as you add the logs of the log cabin blocks you just keep adding all the layers and quilt it as you go along.

This is the front of the quilt.

And this is the back !  Just as cute as the front.

The only thing that makes me any happier is gingham.  So I made a card today!  wow it was great to be back in the stamp studio stamping just for fun.

so happy to be doing what I love!

sew and stamp happy!

When Pigs Fly...

Well you know what they say about that!!!  It just might be going to happen soon.  I know that my friends will be astounded that I have actually posted here.  But here goes a new day for me.

I have been working hard on a few projects lately.  One was to apply for a job as a quilting teacher for a quilt retreat next winter.  I didn't make the cut but I do like the projects that I submitted.

One class I would have loved to teach was for these darling pin cusions.

I love to do different styles of cusions from squares!  Yes, you heard that, all of the above are made with squares.

Stay tuned for the next project that I submitted.

thanks for looking and hope you have a most wonderful day today.

sew happy!
